The European Commissioner for Climate, Wopke Hoekstra, gave us his priorities for the Clean Industrial Deal. It should tackle 4 key issues: access to finance, energy costs, targeted action in specific sectors and sustainable carbon management. The Clean Industrial Deal should identify priority sectors for pilot markets, paving the way for public support mechanisms at European and national level, which will stimulate investment and demand for green products.
