TWENTY MILLION EUROPEAN HOUSEHOLDS LEFT OUT ?

MAY 2015

17% of Europeans, i.e. 20 million households, mainly in rural areas, will not be able to do without liquid fuel for heating for a long time to come.

However, alternative solutions to these fuels do exist: for example, biomass-to-liquid processes, recycling of waste oils and fats by hydrotreatment, refused derived fuel (RDF) by catalytic cracking can produce low-carbon biofuels.

On the occasion of the public consultation launched by the European Commission, ALTAPIKA recalled this essential issue of energy transition.
